“Air, water and plants are the elements at the base of their work: husband and wife, two sons, he from Pesaro, she From Pisa (Tuscany), both agronomist and landscape architects. In 2000, Alberto Giangolini and Sabina Filippi created the Landesign studio which deals with environmental projects and interventions through a specialized ecosystem approach. Alberto and Sabina come from a common educational path that, after graduating Agriculture Sciences, brought them, first, to specialize in parks, gardens and green area, then to obtain the specialist degree in Landscape Architecture. thanks to the specific experience, they take on tasa of planning, territorial planning and environmental studies on the entire territory, in the public and private sphere. Their strength, they say, is to almost never agree on the same project.
A difficult job, they trust: in front of the hydrogeological instability that is devasting Italy because of the default of the rulers, there is a bureaucracy that paralyzes the interventions, even the simplest ones, extending time and increasing costs. On the local situation, they report the substandard quality of the urban architecture of Pesaro. a symbolic place in degradation on which one should intervene with a permanent settlement is the Orti Giuli park and the passed and dated waterfront. Next change? Working abroad, where there is more attention to the landscape interventions.
