We design outdoor spaces and green areas on the basis that nature never wrong: only a deep knowledge of environmental conditions, soil nature, climate, water availability, provide the key to a successfull landscape design.

As the same knowledge of the constructed helps to decrypt the relationship established between nature and places, providing the best design synthesis.

Team

LANDESIGN Associate was estabilished in 2000 by two agronomists landscapers specialized at the School of Landscape of University of Torino and later graduated in landscape architecture at the Politecnico of Torino.

Training received before technical, then architectural, has characterized from the beginning the design activities performed, giving a particular focus towards ecological and environmental issues.

Who we are

The two associated Sabina Filippi and Alberto Giangolini, have carried out contracts of design and consulting throughout Italy dealing with landscape and environment both territorial level that for small gardens.

Sabina Filippi

Sabina FilippiGraduated in Agricultural Science at Pisa University with a thesis on the redevelopment of a urban park in Tirrenia (PI). In 1998 she specialized at the School of landscape at Torino University with a thesis on the redevelopment of the thermal park at San Giuliano Terme (PI). In 2008 she graduated in landscape architecture in Turin with a thesis entitled "Bathing tape: hypothesis of regeneration of water front in Pesaro".

Alberto Giangolini

Alberto GiangoliniIn 1988 he graduated in Agricultural Science at University of Bologna. In 1999 he specialized at the School of Landscape of Torino University with a thesis on the landscaping of the Navi Park in Cattolica (RN). In 2008 he graduated in landscape architecture at Torino University working together with Sabina Filippi in the mentioned thesis.

Environment

Within the environmental sector LANDESIGN and his collaborators have been working for years on the whole country on major infrastructural projects, such as pipelines, technological systems, highways, urbanization etc. conducting investigations and restoration designs for the largest engineering and construction national companies.

Our clients: Enereco, Snam Rete Gas, Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda, Renco, Cesi, Eni, Energy Plus.

Thanks to the experience acquired LANDESIGN develops design and consulting related to the theme of the outdoors.

Starting from its fundation landesign carried out contracts of various kind of design, including layout of building complexes, public parks, shopping centers, green roofs, private gardens of the countryside and cities, industrial areas, working for private and public contractors and construction companies nationwide.

INTERNATIONALIZATION ACTIVITIES 2015

Dear colleagues

We run a landscape design studio in Pesaro (Italy) and as part of the training activities and collaboration that every year we plan for the development of our job, for 2015 we would like to set up a permanent collaboration with someone of your association, proposing a program of work and field experiences.

Landesign is a company that deals with landscape and environment in the whole country, based in the historic center of Pesaro and occupies 6 employed, as well as numerous external collaborators.

In private, owners operate a B & B in the hills near Pesaro, where they live and built a garden in which constantly experiment the introduction of new plants.

For spring / summer 2015 we would like to schedule an exchange of experiences with someone of your associates, providing for the following organization:

  • Series of lectures at our studio in Pesaro (2-3 meetings) to present the activities and projects in your country, comparing them with Italian reality.
  • Practice Experimentation in our garden studying together expansions / transformations.
  • Participation in a table design for the enhancement of the hilly landscape of Pesaro, in terms of creating a suburban agricultural park.

What most interests us is to promote a discussion on practical issues such as the use of plants, the importance of environmental factors, new trends in design.

Everyone wishing to participate will be our guest at the B & B of our property for the entire period of stay and could be involved in the design of the future agricultural park. In return we ask for your availability to report on your previous works with images to be shown during the meetings organized by us.

Later we would like to extend the collaboration by working together to the agricultural park, bringing new ideas and initiatives to upgrade the hilly landscape.

Please spread our proposal to all your members. Among the requests received we will select candidates based on the following requirements:

  • Having gained a significant design experience in the creation of country gardens
  • Having dealt with issues concerning knowledge of environmental factors
  • Have experience of operations on a regional scale
  • Young professionals with innovative ideas

Depending on the feedback received we will provide you a program of work and possible dates with the appropriate advance to enable us to organize the event as our best, involving the local authority and all other stakeholders.

The technical meetings will be supported by sectorial company and by the local authorities.
